ETS is a Federally Certified Cargo Tank Facility able to perform inspections and repairs for MC330, MC331, MC306, MC312, DOT406, DOT407 and DOT412 Cargo Tanks.

Company History
Established in Wellington, Missouri, ETS (Energy Transport Solutions) is a family-owned and operated trucking company specializing in petroleum liquids. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of our customers and our industry.
Founding Years
The roots of ETS trace back to 1955 when Omer and Dorothy Kolkmeyer founded Wellington Oil & Gas Co. The company began modestly, operating out of the Kolkmeyer family home, with a focus on selling propane and home heating fuel. With just two trucks and a bulk plant, the Kolkmeyer’s embarked on their journey in the propane business.
Expansion into Trucking
In 1972, Wellington Oil & Gas Co. expanded its operations into the trucking business with the purchase of a transport truck and trailer for hauling propane. As the company grew, Glen Kolkmeyer, the son of Omer and Dorothy, joined the team and initiated the expansion of the retail propane business from 1988-2008 by acquiring several local propane companies.
Transition to Energy Transport Solutions
In 2007, Wellington Oil & Gas Co. divested its refined fuels business to MFA Oil Company and, in 2008, its retail propane operation to AmeriGas Propane. Following these transitions, the company rebranded as Energy Transport Solutions (ETS) and shifted its focus to streamlining and expanding its transport business. Today, ETS operates in 10 Midwest states, serving national and local refined fuel and propane marketers, truck stops, military installations, International & Regional Airports, farmers, and industrial accounts.
Leadership and Community Engagement
The daily operations of ETS are now led by the third generation of the Kolkmeyer family, with Eric Kolkmeyer serving as President & CEO. Eric, a graduate of The University of Central Missouri and a veteran of the United States Army and MO National Guard, is deeply committed to both the company’s success and its community impact.
Glen Kolkmeyer, a former Missouri House of Representatives member, is actively involved in industry associations, including the Missouri Propane Gas Association and the Missouri Truckers Association. ETS takes pride in its community engagement efforts, supporting various non-profit organizations and participating in mission trips to Brazil.
